Den här sminkningen tyckte jag var väldigt rolig att göra! Det blev en cool form på ögonen och ombré-läpparna till det blev en väldigt snygg kombo :) Jag matchade det till en grå tröja för att “klä ner” sminkningen lite och skapa kontraster.

Den här veckan skulle jag beskriva som intensiv! Det har varit många olika projekt blandat med allt vanligt “dagligt arbete” som ska hinnas med utöver :) Så det har blivit långa dagar och noll ledighet så när som på en fika med Frida som vi lyckades klämma in efter lite pusslande i schemat haha!

Planning and brainstorming meeting
Me, Miska and Annika had a cozy planning meeting at Annika's house where we had a long agenda! For several hours we sat and worked, me and Miska came home 23 the night before.
Vi gick igenom alla större saker som vi inte hinner prata igenom på en kvart på salongen (som med alla småbeslut) och det var blandat med saker som vi behövde fixa och bestämma direkt och saker som är lite mer “drömmiga” och förberedande som man måste prata och tänka igenom innan man kan ta besluten om det längre fram :)
Here is Annika using large tiles as whiteboards to write on. It's full of whiteboards at her house, so much fun :)
Teeth whitening
Soon a new colleague will start with us with teeth whitening! Mia will start with a few dates from time to time already in April and then at the end of the summer she will work with us even more. She tested our bleaching equipment on me this week!
Man är ju fruktansvärt snygg alltså! Jag är en bra person att öva på då jag har “väldigt annorlunda söta tänder som är lite svårare” som vår tidigare tandblekare Alexander beskrev dom haha. Det var ju tur att jag vägrade tandställning i grundskolan så att mina tänder kan komma till användning i företaget ;)
Meetings
Flera utvecklingsmöten har jag haft med kollegorna också, både en timme med hela teamet men också enskilda möten med 30 minuter per person. Väldigt givande som vanligt! :) Efter varje möte vi har tillsammans så ger alla feedback om hur mötet var, och två veckor i rad har det varit “mycket to do-punkter på Helena”. Jag har så lätt att ta på mig saker som andra egentligen kan göra, jag tänker “det går snabbare om jag gör det” och “det är bättre om dom fokuserar på nått annat så fixar jag det här” vilket stämmer till viss del men är varken smart eller effektivt i längden.
“Bli bättre på att delegera” är fortfarande en punkt på min personliga utvecklingslista haha!

Hairdresser training with a focus on dry hair
On Wednesday, my barber Niclas and I went to Gävle for a hair pathologist training where we immersed ourselves in dry hair and scalp.
Jag är ju utbildad hårolog sedan tidigare och nu är jag ännu mer fördjupad i ämnet! Det är såå intressant att ni anar inte! Jag älskar att få nörda ner mig, prata om molekyler, pH-värden och olika case “den här personen har lockigt hår, styrka 5 och sträckbarhet 5 och upplever sitt hår som jättetorrt i topparna fast det enligt värdena inte är det, vad rekommenderar du för produkter och vad blandar du i produkterna för extra bra effekt?”.
Niclas was impressed with me on the way home, that I know so much even though I am not a hairdresser and was at the same level of knowledge as other hairdressers. But hair care products are not about being able to cut and color, but to be incredibly interested in products and skin care and understand how the hair is built. I have to write a long blog post about all this I feel! :)
Back in the school desk then :) I thrive in that role and am so grateful that I came in contact with Hårologi which feels like the most serious hair care brand. Diana comes to us regularly and not to sell us news or more products but just to rehearse our knowledge and make sure we keep everything fresh in our minds, can ask questions we have thought about etc. It is difficult to find someone who is so passionate much for hair like Diana does, here is a person who knows what she's talking about, I'm so impressed with her! :)
Film a sweet Easter greeting
Next week is Easter! So cozy and you know what? Annika who has hens for the first time in her life has got chickens !!! How cute? They hatched last weekend and Annika kept us updated via text message!
We just had to include them in a sweet greeting when we wish all our followers and customers a Happy Easter on social media :) We built a small studio with products and props!

Annika fixed the props! We were at her house so we just borrowed the chickens from the mother, so you do not think we took them to the salon for a whole day or achieved such a terrible thing haha.

Saturday job and many customers
This week it was a 6-day week at the salon because we had so many bookings on Saturday that I came in and took customers. Very funny! I have taken before and after pictures of the three make-up customers I had this week, so you will see that in the blog soon! I have also had many fringe and brow customers, it is noticeable that it is spring and everyone is starting to wake up to life :)
Sunday job
Do you want to see how I sit and work right now, you have a film clip on my Insta Story (@ imakeyousmile.se) when I work in the sun on our terrace. Coffee, Spanish music and a playful boyfriend :) Really cozy! It will remain on Instagram for 24 hours.
Since, as I said, I had a lot of small projects this week, I lag behind in my normal daily work a lot, which I now take back. Because I will not have time to do much tomorrow either because first I will go to Disruptive Materials and make up 12 people then quickly back to the salon because I have a customer after kl. 15.
But instead of feeling tired, it's better to make it a great time! Warm sun and happy music that gives a real energy boost! Really have no problem sitting here and doing good! :)

I know you like before and after pictures of my brow customers and it's been a while since I took the picture. But here is an eyebrow pick & color that I made on a customer the other day!
She was very happy with the result :)
Very big difference!
On some skin types, the color settles in the skin immediately afterwards (usually on dry skin) so the brow is not made up at all, there is only a little color left on the skin. So the result will not be quite as sharp after she has washed her face 1-2 times :)
Att välja rätt foundationnyans är inte det lättaste, att dessutom göra det online med enbart “animerade” bilder på nyanserna förenklar inte saken.
About a week ago, I received a request in a comment from someone who asked if I could show swatch pictures of the foundation Pressed Base Foundation from the mineral brand glo Skin Beauty, and I have had plans for it for a very long time but have not gotten shot, but now I have done it! :)
Pressed Base Foundation is a mineral foundation in pressed form that comes in a nice, matte box with magnetic closure and mirror in the lid. Very nice packaging (note the brand has recently changed its packaging so our warehouse is currently mixed with new and old packaging).
Tips on how to choose the right shade over the internet!
Start by looking at the swatch images and select some shades that you think might fit.
2. Read the descriptions of these shades and see which one fits best in how you would describe your skin tone. For example. if you choose between the Golden series and the Natural series, you can read about what suits you best from the outside if you are more yellow or more neutral.
3. Var medveten om att bilderna kan variera beroende på vilken skärm du kollar på, min MAC-dator har inte alls samma färginställningar som min gamla Samsung-mobil. Så jämför nyanserna med varandra t.ex. “den är varmare och ljusare än den” i kombination med hur nyanserna beskrivs i text.
4. Velar du mellan två nyanser så välj hellre en som känns som “rätt kategori” än rätt mörk/ljushetsläge. Om du t.ex. är en Golden medium och råkar köpa en Golden light så är det oftast ingen katastrof för när man applicerat concealer, contouring, rouge m.m så smälter den in bra ändå för skillnaden är ganska liten. Om du däremot väljer en nyans ur Beige-serien så kommer skillnaden mot din egen hudton bli mycket större, även om nyansen varken är för ljus eller för mörk.

Nyanserna är uppdelade i olika serier beroende på din underton, Natural, Golden, Beige, Honey, Chestnut, Tawny och Cocoa. Dessa “kategorier” av färger innehåller flera nyanser med olika mörkhetslägen från Fair till Dark.
Natural series
Three shades, fair, light and medium. Suitable for you with neutral skin tone with peach to yellow undertones.
I vår butik finns även den fjärde nyansen “dark” men vi har valt att inte sälja den i webshopen då den är väldigt ovanlig att den oftast är ett felköp. Men önskas den online så går det bra att maila oss så hjälper vi vill till med det.
Golden series
Three shades, light, medium and dark. Suitable for you with a warm skin tone with yellow to olive undertones.
Beige series
Three shades light, medium and dark. Suitable for you with a cold skin tone with a peach undertone.

10 most common shades:
Light skin tone: Natural fair, Natural light, Golden light
Light to medium skin tone: Golden medium, Golden dark, Honey light.
Medium skin tone: Honey medium, Tawny light
Medium to dark skin tone: Cocoa light, Cocoa medium.
Other things to think about regarding the new choice of Pressed Base Foundation:
The coverage is buildable and if you apply a thin layer, the shade adapts a bit to your natural skin tone underneath. If, on the other hand, you apply a comprehensive result, it is more important to find a perfectly suitable shade.
The neck is usually lighter than the face / décolleté. This is how you match your foundation with the neck but is darker on the décolleté so the whole main part can look too light. Do not forget to check the shade on the décolleté and rather put make-up on the neck so that the color blends together if there is a big difference.
Beige medium, Beige dark and Natural medium are quite unusual (but occur of course!) Because if you are darker than Beige light and Natural light, most of them go a little in the warmer direction. I write this only because it can be helpful if you are unsure, do you choose between e.g. Beige medium and Golden dark so the odds are statistically greater that Golden dark will fit better.
In this picture I have the shade Honey Fair. My skin tone is light but with a little tan left after the sun holiday.

It is actually the middle of March already and despite the fact that we in Gimo have so much snow that we who are bad at shoveling have to leave the car out on the street (ashamed, haha) I know that in some parts of Sweden it is quite our -like already? :) I talked but my friend Nicolin on the phone yesterday, she lives in Gothenburg and said that there is no snow there at all. But this sun that was this weekend gives spring feelings regardless of the amount of snow, so wonderful!
This make-up feels happy and has small splashes of color in green and turquoise that enliven. Hope you like it too :)
