I have been using Manukahonung MGO 600+ for a while to relieve my sore throat and try to get rid of my recurring sore throat / throat infections. So...
Alcohol = dehydration, you have learned, which is true.
But when I read the table of contents of Weleda's products which are natural and very good, and saw that they contain alcohol, I started googling around and have found a lot of information on the subject that you probably find interesting! :)
For example, products with alcohol should not be used to dry out e.g. pimples, an oily skin only produces even more fat if it becomes dry and the skin does not feel good from being dried out with alcohol. And you should also be careful and not use alcohol products too often, for example Mixing Liquid (which is used to attach glitter) is not something you should use daily.
BUT organic / organic products can usually contain alcohol, and there should be no danger at all as the caring and natural ingredients compensate so that the product never becomes dehydrating for the skin.
So do not be afraid that there is alcohol in the table of contents of natural products! :)
Although this is a test make-up I did yesterday, to test what it looked like under the mask.
Det är nämligen dags för Swedish Beauty & Cosmetics Awards ikväll, temat är mystik och dresscoden är “smoking och mask”. Superkul!
Tips to keep in mind when you want to look good under an eye mask, is first and foremost to test and check how much of the eyes / area around the eyes is visible - then you know if you should focus the makeup above or under the eye.
My mask has a lot of air under the eyes, but not a lot above. Therefore, I have a soot on the eyelid that does not go up far towards the eyebrow at all, because I still want a space between the mask and the soot. I have also highlighted that space with shimmery shadow. Then I smacked on with a lot of glitter under the eye instead, where you have the chance to be seen a little more :)
And red lips and nails to it, red feels mysterious and also I want to balance the makeup so that there is not a lot around the eyes and then nothing further down!
You can see the sweeping itself step by step in yesterday's post, but the glitter details I have added are: Gold shimmerinnermost on the eyelid, Yves Rocher Loose mother of pearl shimmer (Golden mother of pearl) Gold glitter eyeliner along the lower lash line and corner of the eye, True Gold Glitter Eyeliner (do not think it is available to buy anymore unfortunately)
Will see if I manage to take an outfit photo before / during the evening which you can see later. But I match this in any case to a black jumpsuit, sky-high black heels, and a black bag (quilted) with a red and a black tassel :)
If everything goes as planned anyway…;) This post is timed and now I'm probably in the hotel room and getting ready!
I have done a small durability test on red lips that lasts a long time!
Having a lip liner on the entire lips is a good idea if you want it to last a long time. I usually use Yves Rocher Automatic Lip Liner which sits very well, but if you drink very hot or eat, it needs to be improved so as not to look so crazy.
But now I tried to have too Lumene Eye Shadow Primer below, to see if it held up even better then, and I actually feel that it did! :)
I started by applying a thin layer of primer to the entire lips. However, I recommend a little more lip care before, so that it does not become as uneven as it became on me (did not do much when I had painted the lip pencil).
Get rid of the itchy on the lips:
* Start by warming them up a bit, for example taking a shower.
* Apply a thick layer of moisturizing lip balm (note not Lypsyl)
* Let the lip balm work for about 15 minutes.
* Scrub your lips gently with a toothbrush or terry towel. You can also use a peeling or sugar + olive oil. Then all the flakes come off without tearing up the lip!
I put the primer a little outside the contour as well, as I have small, small blackheads there that interfere when you have to get a sharp line with the lip pencil. Then just fill in the lips with the lip pencil and you are done!
Here you see the end result of my test!
(It was difficult to get a blurry daylight picture in the last picture, when the sun almost went down)
It should be added that I also drank a lot of coffee the first 4 hours. The 6-hour picture is so it stayed until I washed it off in the evening.
Think it's so unfair for us with small lips, oh what I envy you with big sometimes :) For us with such lips, the amount that disappears when you eat about half the lip, and then it looks so strange. But it is barely visible on big lips because they have so much lip makeup left around anyway!
Anyway, I have these lips so I know that at least I should not look like hello come and help me after a few hours, even if I would have improved a little now and then and I would have shown myself out :)
Although I am self-taught in makeup, I often get questions about different makeup training.
I really have no idea who is good and who is not, but I still have experience of sitting and googling other types of education, and know how the industry works, so I can still come up with some tips!

My tips: *Google is your best friend. Kolla inte bara skolornas hemsida, utan googla kursen och olika sökord så som “elever” och liknande, så hittar du säkert bloggar som har skrivit vad de tycker om kursen och även info om hur det har gått för eleverna efteråt.
* Get in touch to old students you find on google / blogs, and ask any questions and ask them to tell a little in general about their opinion about the school.
*Dare! You may not feel that the school closest to your home feels good for 100%, do not choose it then. Search for sublets or people looking for residents for a period, and move to where your favorite school is located! It certainly feels messy at first, but once you have completed the training you want and gained lots of new friends and contacts in other places, then you will not regret it!
*Contacts are very important, so choose a school with experienced teachers and preferably a lot of guest lecturers and internships! As a makeup artist, you do not get a job served on a silver platter, you must be prepared to chase a job in the beginning! Feel free to get in touch with new photographers and stylists at the same time as you attend the training as well, you can easily work out a win-win situation where you fix a shoot where no one gets paid, but everyone gets nice pictures for their portfolio - then when someone in the group gets a paid job so maybe he can fix the others on that job too! Help others, and you will get help back :)
My Makeup Artist Tips:
I also found a checklist on minmakeupartist.se(a superb website for makeup artists who are both going to train, and who have trained and are looking for jobs and assignments!) and here are their tips:
- What is the actual price? Turn on the number of hours and you will get a better picture. Do not forget to count on the registration fee which is often high. - Are products included? Some educations include products for tens of thousands of kronor. It can be costly if you have to buy on site yourself. - What does the education contain? It can be a bonus if you also gain knowledge in hair styling and mask / theater - Is portfolio included? A big plus when you come out as a newly graduated artist is to have some reference pictures ready. - Does the school offer internships? This is an important part of the education. Schools that mediate good internships and partners can give you an invaluable network of contacts for future jobs and an opportunity to learn from the best.
Hope the post was helpful for someone who is hungry for the profession! :)
Sotade ögon är väldigt populärt, men många kan känna sig för “hårt” sminkade i det, och få lite panda-känsla. Speciellt vanligt är det för personer med små ögon, dom får ofta känslan av att ögonen “försvinner” lite.
I myself actually also have such days when smoky eyes feel too much, I can easily think that it looks like a punk hehe.
But today I thought I would show you smoky eyes with red lips, which open your eyes more than the classic smoky!
The details that make this make-up not as harsh are that I do not make the waterline dark but lighten it up. In addition, I highlight the innermost part of the eye and under the brow with light eye shadow, which gives the eye a more open impression.
Finally, I try to be careful about applying the black eyeshadow low out of the eye - I stay approximately along the crease line so as not to go up to the eyebrow too much, and quite a bit outside the outer corner of the eye and down along the lower lash line. Then you get the smoky feeling, without it being too much!
