TBT - The interest in make-up has always existed

3

A bit comical, I went back to the blog to see what I wrote on February 20, 2011 - exactly three years ago, when I actually also wrote about makeup but was not as good at all :)

I thought it would be fun to post an old picture like this on Thursday in honor, because throwback thursday has become so popular when you go back in time and upload an old picture!

And this Thursday I have probably succeeded very well, in my three year old post was an even older picture from when me and my best friend were little.

It was the summer between 4th and 5th grade, I think, and we had tested Frida's make-up, which I really think belonged to such a make-up doll you could style.

Surely we looked good? ;)

And I who thought I developed since 2011…
It's lucky that you have gotten better since this time anyway! ;)

Hair plans

Want to know something fun? :)

I talked about dyeing my hair sombré before, and on the 4th of March I actually booked an appointment for it now! It is Monica Werner från salongen “Frisörerna” i Uppsala som ska få hedersuppdraget att göra förvandlingen. Jag har varit där och pratat lite och hon verkar förstå hur jag vill ha det, och även hur hon ska göra för att få det så.

The scary thing is that all bleached hair apparently reacts differently, and you can not know for sure in advance what the colors will be. But you do not know until you have tested, so I drive!

And right after I have dyed my hair, I will continue to knead Creative Zone and order hair extensions! Waaaaah!

I have no experience at all with hair extensions, but the salon has just started using Hair Talk Extensions which should be the most gentle hair extension available on the market. And they are really good too, so I think it will be good :)

Jag är “allergisk” mot när man ser tydligt var ens egna hår slutar och löshåret fortsätter, då kan man lika bra vara utan löshår. Om det blir så, så kommer jag ta ut håret lika snabbt som det sattes dit haha.

hair change

I'm thinking of something in this direction, although a little more blonde parts in the after-picture!
It could be my hair in the pre-image, bleached with dark growth.

Or reached in this direction!

The pictures are borrowed from DKWstyling.com, great site with lots of inspiration.

What do you think? Will I look good? :)

Jennifer Lawrence Makeup Tutorial

The day's make-up is inspired by stylish Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen from Hunger Games) - Intense framing around the eye, brown sweeping in golden shades and nude-colored lips!

Shading & highlighter vs a sunkissed look

1

Ellenor sa…
“Men bronspudret, brukar man inte lägga det på näsan och haken…?
When it says sun-kissed look, then it clashes with the highlighter…
Gets a little confused but maybe you should separate these two "bases" with each other…? "

I also went crazy over that before, did not understand the logic at all. When you apply shading, you apply the dark powder in the deep parts of the face, but when you only talk about sun powder, you apply the exact opposite. Whats up with that? :)

To shape the face so that it does not look as flat, you apply a darker shade than the skin tone in the deep parts of the face, such as the temples and under the cheekbone. And then a lighter shade than the skin tone on the protruding parts such as in the middle of the nose, chin and in the middle of the cheekbones.

But for a sun-kissed look, it is often said that you should apply sun powder in the places where the sun hits first - which are the protruding parts that you otherwise put highlighter on.

I usually never do that, because it gives the illusion of a flatter face. But if you want the sun-kissed look, I think it's best to sun powder your cheeks, in the middle of the forehead and chin, but still highlight in the middle of the nose and right on top of the cheekbones so that you get a little more shape in any case.

Then you can turn the roast too - when you have sunbathed, the color disappears most quickly on the more protruding parts of the face, and then suddenly the sun powder matches the shading and highlight. The question is simply whether you want to look freshly tanned or just generally more tanned;)
