Visions & sort their plans in writing
Last Sunday I had a really cozy and much needed job while setting the tone for the whole coming week in fact!
Solen sken in på vår inglasade altan och Miska målade tavlor och lyssnade på glad, spansk musik. Där satt jag med datorn och en kopp kaffe och tog tillfället i akt att skriva av mig. Jag skrev ett dokument, en lista närmare bestämt, med rubriken “Visioner”. Och med det menar jag inte en hel målbild utan mer vad jag har för vision för olika projekt, och därefter lite överblickande to-do-punkter under det.
I want to be as productive as possible but it felt a bit like I had a tangled ball of yarn with all our plans and ideas in my head that I just needed to sort into one and the same common thread :)
And you know what? It was so liberating! Nothing was new in any way but just the feeling of having everything in front of you, it sort of goes from being abstract to something concrete that you can more easily grasp and focus on as well.

The most important thing when making a vision list like this is that you are in the right fashion in terms of energy, and I really was with this vision next to me! :)
Quiet week at the salon
Since last week was very intense at the salon with fully booked and lots of customers, this week feels incredibly quiet in comparison.
Olga, who works most of all makeup artists, has a holiday, which is immediately noticeable in the make-up studio. Tuesday was a red day (closed at the salon) and on Wednesday so many were free that I also opened up times for online booking so that customers could book in :)
As a private person, I can think that it felt nice, so calm and atmospheric. But as an entrepreneur, I want it to always be like last week!
On Thursday, Zahra got a cancellation in the morning, so then Miska and I only went to work around 11 o'clock and worked from home on the morning twig. We had the work phone with us so Miska was a receptionist at home on the couch hehe and I worked both at the computer (with Viktoria in her arms, she loved our home morning) and of course in the photo studio with step by step make-up as well. So luxurious!
Many streams small-stuff
När man har lugna veckor så gäller det att inte slöa ner sig och njuta av lugnet – om man är företagare alltså ;) Jag har tagit tag i massor av “smådutt” som inte prioriteras när man har viktigare saker att göra.
There have been phone calls with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency back and forth, new small treatments to be included in booking systems and price lists, people to be emailed, answers to be awaited, schedules to be checked and changed, stuff to be purchased, decisions to be made, customers to to be contacted, product news to be fixed, etc.
Jag är mer för att hålla på med stora projekt, så där så att man går och lägger sig och ba “WOW vad jag har åstadkommit mycket idag”. En sån känsla har man inte efter en sån här vecka direkt, men samtidigt får man ett lite mer inre lugn när man har kunnat bocka av en hel del saker! Sånt som är viktigt att få undan så att man kan fokusera till 100% på sin vision-lista ;)

Event-fix!
I will nag about this summer event only until it's done haha! But there is a lot to be done and I have taken on the role of event fixer so I feel a great responsibility for everything to be good and that everyone is involved and helps.
This week came our balloons that we have ordered! Wihoo! However, we had problems with the order and out of 1000 balloons, many had defective prints, that only half the logo is visible, type 40% of the balloons. We contacted the company that printed the balloons and do you know what they answer? They deduct the amount on the invoice, but we must send back those that are defective. So now we have to go through 1000 balloons and sort them out! Ain't nobody got time for that.
Hope our interns want to help us with that next week! :)
But those who are nice are nice! Beauty is wellness, it says on them :)
Tip! Reflections in Hanapee's Incredible Podcast
I det senaste avsnittet “i fas med vinlistan” av Hanapee's Incredible Podcast so Hanna reflected on this by resting after work and I just thought it was some nice reflections, for the sake of variety! :)
Many people that I listen to otherwise are either real career people who give all the tips to succeed, or they are people who went into the wall a long time ago and suffer a lot from mental illness. But here it was a little in between - a lot of work but also focus on resting!
Hanna berättar om jättemycket jobb med blogg, podcast, samarbeten m.m, samtidigt är hennes fasta jobb redan en 100% tjänst, samtidigt vill hon umgås med vänner, vara en bra flickvän m.m. Och allt det där går ju att få ihop, MEN hon vill också hinna vila. Och med vila menar hon inte “vara ledig och umgås med vänner” utan faktiskt bädda ner sig i sängen och titta på en serie.
I do not know how many of you readers have this problem, but I, like Hanna, have a job where you never finish the day. You can always do more, refine things, think about whether you should have done something better.
It was not much deeper than that, but I have written in previous business week posts that I can feel like a bad entrepreneur who does not work so that I get burned out, which is very skewed haha. I want to be a diligent entrepreneur who works 300% and who works instead of sleeping, but I am smart enough to know that this is not how I want to live actually and therefore stop before it becomes so :)
But it really is a balance and if anyone recognizes themselves in my thoughts I can recommend that episode and listen to Hanna!
Another way for me to relax, instead of movies and series, is to check out cute animals that have their own Instagram accounts haha! @Yves_the_cat is my new favorite, so heavenly cute! :) I just get happy with accounts like this! (Update: Instagram account seems deleted now! Must have happened right after I made the link, so scary!)
The hairology folder
In Quip, which is our communication system in the company, I have now compiled a folder with lots of hairology info! There are some new tips that I learned in the latest course that everyone should take part in, but also a lot of things that can be good to be able to look up when needed, e.g. exact mixtures for different scalp problems, etc.
Jag behöver inte gå in så mycket på detalj men det är väldigt mycket info i flera olika dokument och kategorier som jag samlat i nya “Hårologi-mappen”, som ett litet skolarbete nästan haha!
Update with henna eyebrows
I wrote before that we ev. will start with henna eyebrows as a treatment at the salon! But as with everything we do, we put the stuff to the test properly first and now we are in step two of the testing. I have tested a lot at home and now I have taken the stuff to the salon so that the makeup artists can test and come up with a response as well.
This week I did not have much more to tell. It has been the end of the month so I have also sat lots with salaries, invoices, budget, statistics and the usual chores with it.
And so I checked off sick a lot from my to do list and ba breathed out before I went home from the salon last Friday and had just checked off the last thing on the to-do list, so nice!
But not all weeks can be just as rich in content either :)
Now I want to tell you about a product combo from two different brands that I have received press releases on, both me and my skin really like these together! :)
These are the products! A serum for acne and oily skin, an eye serum and a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid. In the picture you see my skin right after the skin care routine with these products, very moisturized and ready!
Miska kollade på mig ganska nära här om dagen och sa “vad fin hy du har!” så till och med han har märkt skillnad :)
My skin type
Since all skin care does not suit everyone, I thought I would start by briefly explaining how my skin is, because it is quite important in why I think these products are so heavenly good together.
My skin is oily and has some pimples, but at the same time it is sensitive, easily turns red and can easily feel dry and tight after the skin care routine.
The hard part for me is to find skin care that is sufficiently moisturizing and oily (oily skin needs oil) but without settling like a greasy surface on the face that destroys all the makeup or makes me wake up in the morning and look like I has a shiny mask on the face.
But these products together make my skin feel moisture-bombed and at the same time clean and clear without pimples and or an oily film on the skin surface!
Now to the products:
HynE Anti Age Cream
I do not start reviewing the products in the same order as they are applied, but want to start by praising the moisturizer from the new Swedish skin care brand HynE! The brand was started by Susanne Liljeberg who is one of the founders of the interior design chain GRANITS.
HynE Anti Age Cream is a moisturizing skin cream with a large dose of hyaluronic acid that is bacterial and can bind water up to 1000 times its own weight. The moisturizer inhibits skin aging, gives a plumping effect on lines and should suit all skin types.
In addition to hyaluronic acid, the moisturizer contains canola oil, glycerin, sunflower oil and rosemary.
Jag är lite trött på definitionen “anti age” dock måste jag tillägga, att förklara att en produkt är bra för äldre hy o.s.v. är ju självklart bra men just att någonting är “anti åldrande” känns fel, det är ju inte fel att det syns på huden att det åldrats?
Use & formula
Fuktkrämen är en “24-timmarskräm” och kan användas både morgon och kväll. Formulan är en “gel-kräm” som glider på otroligt lätt på huden och är väldigt dryg, lite räcker långt. Framför allt går den in fint i huden och även jag som har oljig hy kan använda ganska mycket kräm (även fast det inte needed) without worrying that the makeup will sit badly or the like. So I indulge in it and scoop on quite a lot of cream just because it's delicious! :)
Otherwise, it's a common problem for me, me must take very little of some moisturizers because if I take too much it destroys the whole makeup base. So I think it's very nice to be able to lubricate myself really properly!
Fragrance
It smells very mild, basically nothing.
Results
I have been using this cream for about 2 months and my skin is in the perfect stage of incredibly moisturized but at the same time not too oily!
As for the anti-age effect, I do not really have the right skin type to be able to determine wrinkles and lines, but the skin feels supple and fine while it is difficult to determine if it is because it is so moisturized and healthy or if it is just the hyaluronic acid that made a difference :)
Packaging
The only thing I am not a fan of are moisturizers in cans, because you should never have fingers in the cans and I am not so much for having to use a spatula.

Award
The moisturizer costs SEK 595 and can be purchased on the brand's own website hyne.se. The jar contains 30 ml.
So it is not a budget mark directly and if I had paid for it myself I would have been a little more frugal when applying, I have used up half the jar already and usually also use it on the cleavage and love to scoop on a little because can ;) But financially, I can say that it is very expensive, a little goes a long way and will probably last a very long time if you are more frugal!
Now to the serum! In the morning I only use the moisturizer after cleansing and toner, but in the evening I supplement with serum before, one for the face and one for the eyes.
Solution by Victus
Solution by Victus är ett hudvårdsmärke som fokuserar på att hudvård ska vara enkelt men också ge resultat. Det är väldigt tydliga beskrivningar både på hemsidan och på framsidan av produkterna. Så här står det om märket på deras egen hemsida: “Solution by Victus är en svensk hudvårdsserie som är utvecklad av kosmetiska kemisten Liliane Sallander tillsammans med input från Victus hudterapeuter och önskemål från en testpanel bestående av skönhetsintresserade slutkonsumenter.”
Solution by Victus Stay Away Serum
I have been using the serum for acne prone and oily skin for about 2 weeks now and think it is so good! My skin has become clearer in a very short time and even though I still have some small pimples, it feels very clean and fresh.
Product description
“Stay Away är ett djuprengörande serum som balanserar talg-produktionen. Serumet verkar antibakteriellt och bevarar hudens fuktnivå utan att skada eller torka ut den naturliga hudbarriären. Stay Away används både för att motverka befintlig akne och för att förhindra uppkomsten av ny akne.” står det på hemsidan.
The serum contains, among other things, salicylic acid, glycerin, vitamin A (Retinyl palmitate) and vitamin B (Niacinamide).
Use & formula
The packaging says that it can be used in the morning or evening, but I only use it in the evening because on the website it says that it should absolutely not be exposed to the sun and therefore can only be used at night. A little misleading message there, but it's about being able to use it in the morning if you're not in the sun, I think. But I have tested it under makeup in any case and it also works, if you are wondering about it :)
The formula is like a thin gel oil that is a bit ... tough? I feel a little difficult to describe haha. But it sinks very quickly into the skin, kind of straight away! It does not feel very moisturizing, but you feel that you need a moisturizer afterwards.
Results
There are few products I experience that I get fast results from, but when I started to supplement the moisturizer from HynE with this serum underneath, my skin started to become clearer very quickly, the pimples became fewer and above all it feels very fresh!
On the oiliness I feel no difference at all, but I never think that my oily skin will disappear so I would have been more dizzy shocked if it had created magic at that point hehe;)
Fragrance
Jag frågade Miska “What do you think this smells like? I have a strange association and want to know how you feel”And we thought of the exact same thing, so sick, that it smells like a Finnish ferry haha! I do not know if the boats smell so much anymore but we went a lot with Silja Line when I was little, when you had to smoke on the boats and it smelled like spilled alcohol, snus and smoke in the bar.
Nu tänker ni “waaah det vill jag inte ha i mitt ansikte!” medan det för mig är ett härligt barndomsminne haha. Men då vill jag tillägga att 1. jag tror inte att alla kommer tycka att den luktar illa och 2. lukten försvinner direkt när man lagt på fuktkrämen. Det är som att den “ångar” lite men när den sjunkit in så försvinner det helt. Så man går inte runt och sniffar på den här lukten resten av kvällen :) Så det är både negativt och positivt i samma!
If you look at the list of ingredients, it contains a lot of alcohol, that may explain part of the bar association haha.

Solution by Victus For Your Eyes Eye serum, how luxurious? I have not cared so much about the skin around the eyes before, I have used eye cream of course but mentally just put on it without deeper thoughts. But now I feel more that the skin around the eyes is fun to take care of and care for a little extra! I kind of got craved for cooling eye masks and stuff :)
I do not have problems with bags under the eyes but feel that the skin there is very thin and fragile, and have started to get some changes in the skin structure also with small lines and such. Absolutely nothing that bothers me though, I think it's nice!
Product description
“For Your Eyes är ett vårdande serum framtaget för den tunna och känsliga huden kring ögonen. Serumet återfuktar och minimerar fina linjer. Verkar på svullnader och ”påsar” omkring/under ögonen.” står det på hemsidan.
Use & formula The serum has a light, thin and liquid formula that sinks in quickly! I apply directly with the pipette and gently dip in with my fingertip. Very nice to use!
Results I do not have so many problems around the eyes that I see visible results in 2 weeks, but see this more as a long-term product that pampers the thin skin under the eyes.
Packaging
Also a glass pipette bottle and is half the size of the serum for the face.
Award
SEK 499 and is available for purchase on the brand's website solutionby.se and contains 15 ml.
The consistency of the eye serum is a little lighter than the face serum.
Summary - You should not mix brands anyway but these three products together work really well for my skin and I will use every single one until they run out! I will even mourn the moisturizer a little when it is over and realize that I should start to skimp a little haha. HynE will launch more products and I am already hungry for eye cream and lip balm from the brand!
And both the brands in general I think feel like very high quality and fine ingredients, so regardless of skin type, I can recommend trying both HynE and Solution by Victus!

In the goodie bag after the latest NYX event, I got both glitter and NYX Glitter Primer as I have been curious for a while, and now I have tested the primer on the eyes!
I will experiment a bit with the primer on the lips before you get a complete review. But the first impression on the eyes was very good I can say in any case!
I took photos with poor focus on purpose so that the glitter effect will come out better. When you shoot with flash and super sharp focus, the glitter looks like gravel haha.
I also put the new eyeliner NYX Vinyl Eyeliner in the brown shade Alliance.
Eyeshadow primer, pixi eye bright primer
Brown eye shadow on the entire eyelid (same as the contouring of the face)
Dutta NYX Glitter Primer (adlink) on the entire eyelid carefully so that you do not destroy the eye shadow underneath
