I have made some makeup posts here in the blog that are specifically adapted to certain spectacle frames, but when I write about wide frames, people ask about narrow, and when I write about narrow, I get questions about wide, etc. So I thought I would make a summary for you, with make-up tips that apply to all glasses, and then specific tips for wide, narrow and round! :)<\/p>\n

It's a bit difficult to take photos without the light being reflected strangely in the glasses, I hope you see well anyway!<\/p>\n

Wide, marked spectacle frames:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Getting your eyes visible under a pair of wide and marked glasses is not the easiest thing. You have to apply a lot of make-up to make it visible, a party make-up becomes an everyday make-up if you put on glasses.<\/p>\n

P\u00e5 mina glas\u00f6gon \u00e4r det undersidan av \u00f6gonen som \u00e4r helt expanderade – s\u00e5 jag har lagt mycket mer m\u00f6rkt under \u00f6gat. Men b\u00e5gen “sk\u00e4r av” \u00f6gonlocken lite, s\u00e5 d\u00e4r vill jag l\u00e4gga mycket ljust och skimrigt b\u00e5de p\u00e5 \u00f6gonlocket och under brynet f\u00f6r att det ska tr\u00e4da fram mer d\u00e4r bakom b\u00e5gen.<\/p>\n

Och eftersom vi applicerar mer smink f\u00f6r att \u00f6gonen ska synas under de markerade b\u00e5garna, s\u00e5 blir det v\u00e4ldigt mycket fokus p\u00e5 \u00f6gonen n\u00e4r vi v\u00e4l har satt p\u00e5 oss glas\u00f6gonen. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r \u00e4r det viktigt att inte gl\u00f6mma rouge och l\u00e4ppar, f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 en harmonisk balans i ansiktet. Gillar du f\u00e4rgstarka l\u00e4ppar s\u00e5 v\u00e4lj en diskret rouge, och gillar du mer diskreta l\u00e4ppar s\u00e5 kan du v\u00e4lja en lite mer pigmentrik rouge. Mycket av b\u00e5de \u00f6gon, rouge och l\u00e4ppar kommer inte ge balans, utan kommer tv\u00e4rtom ge ett “st\u00f6kigt” intryck. Satsa p\u00e5 tv\u00e5 detaljer ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r tre.<\/p>\n

For dark marked frames, it is also really nice but almost unmade-up eyes, and really colorful lips!<\/p>\n

Narrow spectacle frames:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many people think that narrow frames do not make any difference to how to put on make-up, because they are so narrow that they do not directly hide the eyes. But regardless of size, people you meet will always see the glasses before the eyes, and therefore you need to mark the eyes a little extra for the eyes to be visible anyway.<\/div>\n
–<\/span><\/div>\n
You can think a little "the other way around" from wide arcs. With wide frames, you should be careful not to apply too much make-up - then the make-up and the wide frames will be like a big hit. But with narrow frames, you can apply a little extra makeup to make your eyes visible!<\/div>\n

Do not be afraid to take an extra dark eye shadow, e.g. black, in the outer edges of the eyes. When you put on the glasses, you will need the extra intensity in the gaze, even though it may feel "too much" without the glasses. On my glasses, the frame hides the eyelid a little, so I want to keep it pretty bright there. But under the eye, and especially to the sides, there is a lot of space - and there I put a little extra dark!<\/div>\n

Round spectacle frames:<\/strong><\/div>\n

Round glasses are super nice, but it can be a little difficult to wear, especially if you do not think about how the shape of the makeup is affected by the glasses.<\/div>\n

What many find difficult with round arches is that they feel like an owl with such globular eyes. It is nice with big eyes, but to avoid the owl feeling under the round frames, I recommend making the eyes so that they are as elongated and almond-shaped as possible (by applying the shadow more outwards in the outer corner of the eye). Then the glo feeling disappears!<\/div>\n

A lot of the whole eye is visible on my glasses, but the eyebrows are a bit hidden so I fill them in a little extra so that they are visible anyway. And besides, you should not apply the eye shadow\u00a0for\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0extended in the outer corner of the eye, it may look strange if it goes so far out that it is visible outside the sides of the arches.<\/div>\n

To get some contrast to the round glasses, it can be nice to break off with marked cheekbones, so that the whole face does not look around. Apply a shadow \/ sun powder that is a little darker than your own skin tone, just below the cheekbone and up to the ear!<\/div>\n

General makeup tips for people with glasses:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nHighlight the eyes<\/span>
\nWork a lot with both light and dark eye shadows, as well as shimmery and matte. This creates contrasts which in turn will attract more attention to the eyes. You apply the light \/ shimmery shadows on the areas you want to emphasize more - the corner of the eye and the eyelid for example. You can use the dark \/ matte shadows to create more depth in the make-up, for example along the globe line.<\/p>\n

Enlarge the eyes<\/span>
\nHighlighting the eyes and enlarging them is a bit of the same principle, but two details that are very useful for the eye to look bigger and more open are first and foremost to lighten the waterline with a light eyeliner. If you have small eyes \/ drooping eyelids, I also recommend painting the dark shadow in the globe line a little higher up than what your globe line actually sits - this gives the impression of a larger eyelid and a more open look.<\/p>\n

Adapt to the shape of the glasses
\n<\/strong><\/span>Put on your glasses and look straight ahead in the mirror. Which parts of the eyes are hidden, and which are clearly visible? In the areas where the spectacle frame takes up a lot of space, it can be a good idea to work mostly with light shadows to emphasize, and in the areas where it is completely open, you can focus.<\/p>\n

Eyebrows<\/span>
\nDo not forget to fill in the eyebrows, otherwise they disappear easily behind the frames. Feel free to make a high shape for the frames that I have, it's nice if they end up over the frame as much as possible, and not down to the same height so that they blend into the upper edge of the frame.<\/p>\n

Primer<\/span>
\nAn eyeshadow primer is important if you want to bring out the pigments in the eyeshadows properly, so that they are more visible under the glasses. An eye shadow primer is applied after foundation, before eye shadows.<\/p>\n

Complementary colors<\/span>
\nThe make-up that I will show you is quite neutral, so that it will suit everyone. But color will always make your eyes more visible during make-up, and it's so beautiful! A tip for emphasizing your particular eye color is to use the complementary color.<\/p>\n

Blue eyes<\/span> – Yellow<\/span>, orange<\/span>, gold<\/span>, bronze<\/span>.<\/strong>
\nBrown eyes<\/span> – Cold colors such as blue.<\/span><\/strong>
\nGreen eyes<\/span> – Purple<\/span> and<\/span> purple toner<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The basic make-up<\/span>
\nOfta kan grundsminket kladda av sig p\u00e5 glas\u00f6gonen under dagen, vilket f\u00f6rst\u00f6r b\u00e5de din snygga grund samt smutsar ner b\u00e5garna. Applicera mycket puder kring \u00f6gonen n\u00e4r du sminkar dig, och b\u00e4ttra p\u00e5 under dagen ocks\u00e5 om du har l\u00e4tt f\u00f6r att bli oljig. D\u00e5 \u00e4r ditt grundsmink mer “fast” och kommer inte glida runt och fastna p\u00e5 b\u00e5garna.<\/p>\n

Detta tips \u00e4r extra viktigt f\u00f6r stora och runda b\u00e5gar, som ofta nuddar kinderna v\u00e4ldigt mycket om man som mig har stora “\u00e4ppelkinder”.<\/p>\n

Myopia \/ farsightedness<\/span>
\nIf you are nearsighted, the glass in the glasses makes your eyes look smaller - work hard to enlarge the eyes.
\nIf you are farsighted, the glass in the glasses makes your eyes look bigger - this is usually not a problem as many of us like big eyes, then you can just follow your natural features to emphasize what you already have. If, on the other hand, you want to reduce the eyes, you can apply very dark closest to the eyes (eg dark eyeliner along the waterline and lash lines) and then apply light along the crease.<\/p>\n
