It feels a little skewed to think back on the week that has been because we have had so much time, so it feels like two weeks in the same!<\/p>\n

It may feel like that because we have done a lot on several various<\/em> areas - when I wrote my last Sunday post just a week ago we had not even started the renovation of the new salon, the new schedule for 2019 was not finished yet and not even my photo corner at home was ready so I had not been able to take a single step -for-step-make-up in the new house \/ cottage than.<\/p>\n

But now there are even more balls rolling and it is progressing by leaps and bounds!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Lunch with Peragenda<\/strong>
\nLast Monday I, Miska and Annika had lunch with Tommy who runs the company Peragenda<\/a>, he kept up with the great business development we did almost 3 years ago. I'm 99% convinced that we had not been on the ballot with the company for so long and got it as good as it is now - if it were not for Tommy and Matilda at Peragenda. It is thanks to them that we have such a good structure with communication, routines, meetings, goals, sub-goals and that the staff are involved in everything.<\/p>\n

It's so much fun talking business with Tommy! I said we should start an entrepreneurial podcast together haha.<\/p>\n

Han \u00e4r n\u00f6rdigt insatt i hur hj\u00e4rnan fungerar och refererar ofta till olika studier vad man \u00e4n pratar om, pl\u00f6tsligt flikar han in med meningar som “There is a study that shows that man hates loss 3 times more than he likes profit<\/em>” obs nu minns jag inte om “3 g\u00e5nger” var r\u00e4tt s\u00e5 det kanske \u00e4r lite faktafel men ni f\u00f6rst\u00e5r po\u00e4ngen :) Jag \u00e4lskar s\u00e5nt! Att koppla ihop verkliga h\u00e4ndelser med mental tr\u00e4ning, f\u00f6rst\u00e5else f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rnan och konkret probleml\u00f6sning. Det blir inte bara floskler och citat som l\u00e5ter bra men inte g\u00e5r att applicera p\u00e5 verkligheten p\u00e5 ett enkelt s\u00e4tt, utan konkret hur man ska l\u00f6sa alla situationerna ocks\u00e5, om ni f\u00f6rst\u00e5r vad jag menar?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And so it feels a bit nostalgic to talk about the trip we made too, Tommy was involved from the beginning of the merger as we had lots of problems both because everything was new to everyone with such a large salon, but also because we were new managers completely without experience in connection with a staff that is far from as efficient and ambitious as we have today! Tommy is so proud of us he says, haha! It warms! :)<\/p>\n

One more salon baby in May & new schedule 2019<\/strong>
\nNow the schedule for 2019 is finally ready and open for bookings. We opened all makeup artists for June and now the next step is to plan holidays so that we can open the schedule for the summer, all wedding bookings will start coming in soon!<\/p>\n

Ett gupp p\u00e5 v\u00e4gen (men ett roligt s\u00e5dant!) \u00e4r att Lisa kom in p\u00e5 kontoret och ber\u00e4ttade att hon har en bebis i magen! Waah!\u00a0\u2665 Det k\u00e4ndes som en milstolpe f\u00f6r mig att vara “personen bakom skrivbordet” n\u00e4r man g\u00e5r in och ber\u00e4ttat nyheten f\u00f6r chefen liksom. Det var en first time! Jag fl\u00f6g upp ur stolen och gav henne en stoor kram!! S\u00e5 kul!!<\/p>\n

So Lisa's schedule is only open April and we already have a makeup artist on the line who is interested. She will come and do test makeup at the salon first just so we can assess her knowledge in reality before she gets the job, but she feels spotless! She has just won the Cidesco Makeup & Bodyart Competition 2018 and also does effect makeup and hair styling.<\/p>\n

S\u00e5 Lisas “mamma-vikarie” och semesterschemat \u00e4r kvar p\u00e5 min to do, men det viktigaste inf\u00f6r salongsflytten \u00e4r ordnat nu i alla fall!<\/p>\n

Then we could also advertise our relocation on social media!<\/p>\n

Started renovation of the new salon<\/strong>
\nThe salon we are moving to is, as I mentioned earlier, the same room that Annika had before we merged 3 years ago. Then it was completely renovated and fresh but after a number of tenants the floor is really worn, a wall has been moved so we have to tear it down and build a new one and in addition all the walls are crammed<\/em> of nail holes and plugs. In addition, the latest tenant had left a lot of stuff as well, so the first item on the list was to get the room empty.<\/p>\n

So there is a lot of work to be done before we can move all the furniture there on weekdays, but we are already well on our way! :)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here I stand and punch holes in the wall! When we moved from Gimo, I only brought clothes that I am using right now, because the move is not completely finished yet, so I had no clothes I could ruin with paint - then I had to borrow this shitty jumpsuit that Annika has sewn! She threw it together to test different seams on her new sewing machine so it should not be used anyway, and you have to look good when you also paint;)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We had sandpaper left over from when we were renovating our current premises - but no wooden block. Then you have to be a little clever and I felt unreasonably smart when I realized that a tops box works just as well!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here I paint with a make-up brush as a brush as well - you take what you have! :)<\/p>\n

Now half the salon is painted and the wall I was talking about is not only demolished but also built in the right place as well! So next week the rest of the walls will be painted and then we will paint the floors as well (we have a fun idea for the floors which I hope will be as good as it is in our heads !!) then the basic job is done.<\/p>\n

We are investing in being completely finished with the actual renovation work by next Sunday, but I am an incredible time optimist when it comes to renovation so I do not dare to promise too much haha.<\/p>\n

The photo studio is ready!<\/strong>
\nThis week I have been able to put on make-up in the new photo studio corner every morning and also make blog material with step-by-step make-up and product photos :) The first step was to get everything here, the second step was to clean the attic so that I could place with everything and the last step was to get good light with a white background.<\/p>\n

I found a roll of white oilcloth at the salon, unfortunately it consisted of several small parts and not a large one, but after a bit of thinking I got it great!<\/p>\n

N\u00e4r en makeupartist leker snickare… ;) Jag slipar med tops, m\u00e5lar med sminkborstar och hamrar med ansiktsprimer, det roliga \u00e4r att dessa bilder \u00e4r 100% \u00e4kta och inget jag gjort f\u00f6r att vara lite “tokig”. Jag ins\u00e5g inte ens mitt snickar-tema f\u00f6rr\u00e4n jag skrev upp “ta med sminkborstar till m\u00e5lning” p\u00e5 min to do-list haha!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This is what my photo corner looks like now! White wax cloth as a background and two small pieces that cover the small windows above. The windows are not visible in my pictures, but if it is bright outside, there will be backlight so they still needed to be covered.<\/p>\n

Jag har \u00e4ven f\u00e5tt nya samples p\u00e5 en av produkterna till sminkm\u00e4rket vi vill starta och det b\u00f6rjar n\u00e4rma sig riktig kvalit\u00e9 nu h\u00f6rrni, \u00e5\u00e5h det var s\u00e5 roligt att verkligen k\u00e4nna “yes! here we have it!<\/em>\u201dThen it takes a lot more tests before I am 100% safe but there is nothing that makes me as happy as really good products!<\/p>\n

P\u00e5 tal om nya id\u00e9er s\u00e5 kl\u00e4ckte vi \u00e4nnu en f\u00f6retagsid\u00e9 h\u00e4r om dagen, nu n\u00e4r vi bor ihop med Annika s\u00e5 finns det ingen hejd p\u00e5 oss haha. Detta \u00e4r en id\u00e9 som inte har med sk\u00f6nhetsbranschen att g\u00f6ra utan den kom utifr\u00e5n v\u00e5ra diskussioner kring graviditet och “snipp-h\u00e4lsa” kan man s\u00e4ga. Sjukt smart \u00e4r den! Vi ska g\u00f6ra lite research ;)<\/p>\n

I have also taken swatch pictures of the new Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights that I blogged about in this post<\/a>! I'm in love! :)<\/p>\n

Month end & homework<\/strong>
\nI tisdags skulle vi p\u00e5 f\u00f6rlossningskurs men den blev inst\u00e4lld s\u00e5 vi jobbade hemifr\u00e5n ist\u00e4llet. Bland annat tog jag tag i rapporterna fr\u00e5n november och bockade av hela min “checklista vid m\u00e5nadsslut-lista” med allt som ska g\u00f6ras varje m\u00e5nadsslut. L\u00f6ner ska in och rapporter och statistik ska ordnas. Det \u00e4r j\u00e4tteviktigt att ha koll p\u00e5 ekonomin! Detta kommer jag nog aldrig delegera ut till personalen f\u00f6r d\u00e5 skulle jag inte ha stenkoll l\u00e4ngre :)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

N\u00e4r jag jobbar hemma p\u00e5 heltid s\u00e5 m\u00e5ste jag vara mer strukturerad med “detta \u00e4r min arbetsstol och h\u00e4r sitter jag alltid n\u00e4r jag jobbar och aldrig n\u00e4r jag \u00e4r ledig” f\u00f6r att separera jobb och fritid. Men n\u00e4r jag nu bara jobbar hemma d\u00e5 och d\u00e5 s\u00e5 f\u00e5r man gosa ner sig i s\u00e4ngen med godis och kattmys samtidigt ;)<\/p>\n

My cat Viktoria thrives so well in her new home! She is more outdoors now than she ever was in Gimo (where she mostly lay on the couch and lazed) and runs in the woods, mischief on the stairs and always wants to lie under the covers when we are in bed \u2665<\/p>\n

Nu ska jag, Miska och Annika p\u00e5 den d\u00e4r f\u00f6rlossningskursen som blev inst\u00e4lld i tisdags! Det \u00e4r en “f\u00f6da utan r\u00e4dsla-kurs”. Ska bli s\u00e5 sp\u00e4nnande! Vi pratar redan j\u00e4ttemycket om andningstekniker, avslappnings\u00f6vningar m.m men det st\u00e5r olika \u00f6verallt s\u00e5 det ska bli kul att f\u00e5 en ordentligt genomg\u00e5ng av denna teknik.<\/p>\n
