The podcast is available on Acast, Podcasts and all the most common places, but not on Spotify.<\/p>\n<p>I have also made a slightly summarized post on the subject below, so you can choose to listen, read or both :) The post is not the same as the podcast so both are rewarding I would think!<\/p>\n<h4>Talk about problems is good - to a certain extent<\/h4>\n<p>We&#039;re really great at talking about problems. We highlight the problems, discuss, twist and turn. The problem is that we do it over and over again. Meeting after meeting without any effective meetings. If <em>same<\/em> problem!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why?<\/strong> Antagligen (undermedvetet) p.g.a. att det \u00e4r ganska bekv\u00e4mt. Alla vet om problemen men ingen vet vilka l\u00f6sningar som \u00e4r b\u00e4st. Det \u00e4r bekv\u00e4mare att s\u00e4ga &#8220;<em>all employees will kick back<\/em>&#8221; eller &#8220;<em>customers will not like it<\/em>&#8221; eller &#8220;<em>but how are we going to make it, it will take a very long time<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Effects:<\/strong>\u00a0Resultatet blir ofta &#8220;<em>yeah we can not get hold of it now it has to wait until the fall<\/em>&#8221; och s\u00e5 skjuter man upp, skjuter upp och skjuter upp. Sen undrar man &#8220;varf\u00f6r n\u00e5dde vi inte v\u00e5r m\u00e5lbild det h\u00e4r \u00e5ret heller?&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h4>What to do then?<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Vi m\u00e5ste prata om problem, men inte hur l\u00e4nge som helst. Till slut m\u00e5ste vi stanna upp och fr\u00e5ga\u00a0&#8220;<em>how can we solve it?<\/em>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Have short regular meetings and make a joint to-do list.<\/li>\n<li>G\u00f6r en bit i taget! Problemet k\u00e4nns ofta f\u00f6r stort f\u00f6r att ta tag i, men om man bryter ner det stegvis &#8220;vad kan du g\u00f6ra till n\u00e4sta m\u00f6te om 2 veckor?&#8221; s\u00e5 kommer man med tiden sakta och metodiskt att l\u00f6sa hela det stora problemet.<\/li>\n<li>Involve the staff too! Use the local expertise as Tommy usually says :) Teamwork and the fact that everyone is involved contributes so much!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow up!<\/strong> Next meeting (or before) it is important to follow up so that all items on the list are checked.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Beware of the how-box!<\/h4>\n<p>When you go from problem to action, you often get quite pissed, things happen! Solutions are discussed and then consequential questions and circumstances often arise which are discussed further indefinitely.<\/p>\n<p>Then you sit there in the middle of the precious meeting while one person sits and emails and another sits and googles. You simply waste time from the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Skriv upp allt s\u00e5nt direkt p\u00e5 handlingsplanen ist\u00e4llet! Skriv\u00a0&#8220;Helena<em>\u00a0should contact xxx and ask blablabla<\/em>&#8221; och &#8220;<em>Miska should check out what is really the difference between that brand and the other brand<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>I often interrupt the meeting as soon as we talk too much about exactly\u00a0<em>how<\/em> vi ska l\u00f6sa saker och s\u00e4ger &#8220;<em>now we&#039;ve been in the how-box for too long. How do we formulate it into a point on the action plan?<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><em>Example:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The problem:<\/strong> We take too few before and after pictures and the ones we take have poor light, which results in poorer marketing. Followed by a lot of chatter about why it is so: You do not have time, you forget, you feel awkward with customers, we have bad light, the camera is difficult to understand, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beware of the how-box:<\/strong> Helena suddenly has a lecture about how she takes photos, explains how the camera works, about angles, light and ideas on how everyone can send pictures to her. There is talk of dropbox, watermarks, instagram format and whether customers should close their eyes or not when taking eyebrows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A more efficient way:<\/strong> Innan man hamnar i hur-l\u00e5dan s\u00e5 borde man pausat och sagt &#8220;<em>what points can we write on the action plan?<\/em>And list points on what everyone can do <strong>and who<\/strong> who will do it:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Book 5 minutes with each person where Helena shows how the camera works.<\/li>\n<li>Find a way to improve the photo light at each treatment site. Reorient lamps? Buy lamps?
