6 common makeup problems and how to solve them!

There are some recurring questions about basic makeup that I get at regular intervals, questions that are usually based on various problems where the person does not know what he is doing wrong. So now I thought I would answer common makeup problems in a post! :)

Below I list 6 common makeup problems.

1. How do I hide my visible pores?

When you apply foundation by just applying a layer over the face, it is as if you apply a light edge along each pore, which emphasizes them and makes them look deeper and darker.

The most important thing to keep in mind is to work the products properly into the skin! Circulating movements and preferably a little dabbling as well, back and forth several times, so that you really buffer your foundation into all the skin's small irregularities. Then the make-up will blend in with the skin more, you will not have to use as much foundation and the result will be both nicer, smoother and more natural!

2. My foundation gets cakey, what am I doing wrong?

Med den foundation jag använder så är det nästan omöjligt att få ett kakigt resultat för den är så lätt på huden, men att använda mindre foundation och jobba in den i huden mer är oftast problemlösningen på detta! 3. How do I make the basic make-up last all day?

Common make-up problems such as basic make-up do not last all day.

Many people are satisfied with the basic make-up immediately after application, but for various reasons it is not as nice all day. If you have worked your foundation into the skin properly and done everything you should, it usually depends on your own skin.

Är man torr så kan man uppleva att sin foundation “faller bort” under dagen. Det man kan göra då är att dels återfukta ordentligt före applicering så att det verkligen fäster på huden. Man kan också återfukta huden under dagen genom att använda fuktspray, som man bara sprayar över sminket med jämna mellanrum. Använder du en flytande foundation så rekommenderar jag en oljebaserad.

Är man tvärtom, fet i hyn, så kan grundsminket antingen “smälta bort” eller bli kakig under dagen. Detta beror på oljan som din hy producerar som bråkar med din foundation inifrån och får den att glida/flytta på sig. Pudra ansiktet med jämna mellanrum så att du fixerar din foundation och suger upp oljan. If you use a liquid foundation, I recommend one water-based.

In both cases, one can face primer be a good idea, on a dry skin the primer makes the primer apply better and on an oily skin the primer reduces the oiliness and also where it is in place.

4. I apply blush and bronzer as you should, but it still gets uneven and ugly.

This is one such point that first and foremost requires good products and brushes, but then it is knowledge and practice that counts.

An uneven result is often obtained due to having too much on the brush. If, for example, you want a lot of blush on the cheeks, it is better to take a little at a time and build up a nice shade. Dab the brush into the blush / sun powder and then tap the shaft lightly against the palm of your hand and all the excess powder that had settled unevenly on the skin disappears.

If your blush / shading became uneven, it is quite easy to correct with a kabuki brush that you have applied foundation with if you use mineral make-up, massage all uneven edges with it and it will usually even out. If it is extremely uneven, you can also have a little more foundation on the kabuki brush.

5. How do I avoid getting a sharp make-up edge between my face and neck?

The main reason for this is the wrong shade of its foundation. But despite the right shade, it is always a little different on the face and neck because a make-up complexion has a slightly different surface and reflects light differently.

Therefore, you should always put a little make-up on the neck and décolleté if you want the perfect result - do not forget the ears if you have short hairstyles / set hair!

Dessutom är det en bra idé (både om man sminkar med foundation ner på halsen eller inte) att applicera sin shading där också. Om du shadar käkbenet och ner på sidorna av halsen, och kanske nyckelbenen också, så blir det så många olika nyanser ihopblandade att man inte lika mycket tänker på att det blir ett “streck”, utan då blir det mer som naturliga skuggor.

6. Grundsminket “fastnar” i ansiktsfjunen och gör att dom framhävs, hur förhindrar jag detta?

My best tip when it comes to this is to apply the make-up in the direction of the scalp, then they lie down and mix together in the make-up easier than if you mess with them with the make-up brush and make your foundation lie like a tube along the straw instead of just a side.

Spraying the make-up with a moisturizing spray is also recommended, then the powdery feeling around the straws will disappear!
