“Åh, jag är så dålig på att använda läppstift osv, känns bara som att det kladdas ut / försvinner och blir fult på en gång :(“

Comment by Ann:
“Känner verkligen igen mig i Janies beskrivning. Läppstift är kört för min del, det smetar bara och flyter ut så kanterna blir ojämna. Läppenna sitter förvisso men brukar torka ut läpparna så det ser hemskt ut efter några timmar. :( Är det fel läppenna eller finns det något magiskt knep för att slippa torra fnssiga läppar efter några timmar? Den där nyansen är för övrigt helt galet fin. Intensiv och dramatisk men ändå harmonisk på något sätt.”

I got these two comments on this makeup a few days ago. I answered Janie and wrote that the lips (in the post she commented on) are a lip pencil applied to the entire lip, so it is not sticky at all and lasts great.

Today I have that pen on me again, and therefore realized that I must of course share my tips on this with the lip pen! :)

1. First and foremost, it depends on what kind of pen you have, some become super dry while others may be a little for creamy to be called lip pencil in my opinion. A middle ground is best, and Dr. Hauschka's lipsticks is a good mix between dry and creamy, so they sit well without getting so crunchy.

2. But even though the pen does not make the lips crunchy dry, it can still feel dry, because it is a dry product and if you have dry lips before, it will be a dry feeling. What I usually do then is to put on a little, a little lip balm before! Paese Balm Lip Gloss is perfect for this, you only need superduperlite to get that soft feeling on the lip, and then you get no shine or color that bothers either, just a moisturized lip. Then it is super easy to paint with the pen and at the same time get soft, nice and moisturized lips.

And should more hydration be needed during the day, it is also very easy to apply more lip gloss (still so little that it does not give any shine) and then improve a little with the pen at the same time. Then the skin on the lips stays soft and supple (and good-looking!) From morning to evening :)

This lip pencil is now on sale at Byher.se and costs SEK 99 instead of SEK 140.

It was a very simple make-up yesterday when I went very early in the morning and got a little lack of time. Volume mascara, thin eyeliner, glittery highlighter in the corner of the eye and dark lip pencil is then one of my safe cards!

Highlighter pen in the corner of the eye and in the innermost part of the eyelid, Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow Creamy Eye Pencil
Black eyeliner along the upper lash line, Palina Drama Queen Perfect Liner.
Black mascara on all lashes, LCC 18 Hours Mascara

  1. Clean and stylish make-up. So I guess you do not have eyeshadow primer for this, but just the other basic? Because it can not end up on the eyelid that way ..? :)

    • Yes that's right :) But if you have problems with oily eyelids, it can be good to have eye shadow primer anyway (+ powder), so that the mascara does not smudge + that the foundation can also fold. But there is no need for a make-up like this. I put the durability of the mascara to the test in this make-up too hehe, so I have no primer :)
