Blonde hair at home gently (3 steps + products)

Many people wonder how I succeed in getting such good results with bleaching / bleaching my hair at home. So I have made a post with everything you should think about.

I want to start by saying that all hair is different, and just because this has worked for me, it is not certain that it works on everyone. While there are certainly many that work even better. And my result would most likely have been even better if I had been able to afford to go to the hairdresser.

Dyeing your hair from brown to blonde is a process that take time if it is not going to tear a lot of hair. I lightened my hair for about a year, and then it was still not as cold and light blonde as I am now. Many would probably manage it in a shorter time as well, but you should not be in a hurry because that is when it will be wrong!

This was my method for bleaching / bleaching my hair at home:

  1. I started by letting my hair down solblekas during the summer.
  2. When it was autumn, I started dye your hair blondare, With products from schwarzkopf (link). NOT WITH BLEACHING, without dyeing. The difference is that bleaching brightens the hair a maximum of 7 shades, while a color cream only brightens 2-4. Bleaching is thus much, much stronger and that is what wears so much on the hair. You also have to be patient with the coloring. I dyed again when my growth grew a few cm long - about every 3 months.
  3. When you only use coloring, the hair easily gets a yellowish tone when it starts to get light. Then it is silver shampoo which concerns! And since I think my hair gets so dry from silver shampoo, I also use one silver packaging afterwards. My hair is very easy to turn yellow, so sometimes it took several days before I got a good shade on my hair.

Before I became blonde, I had a rather dull color on my hair, like light brown in a dull and dull shade. But you have to put up with it for a while if you are not going to bleach your hair, it must be allowed to rest!

Things to consider when bleaching / bleaching your hair at home:

  • If your hair turns yellow, do not panic !!! Many people think "oh no my hair is yellow, it's ruined, what should I do!?! ” and desperately dye their hair brown even though they did not really want it from the beginning. Which often results in them wanting to get blonde again quickly - and once again begin the tedious bleaching process.
  • If you do not usually dye your hair at home and know how your hair reacts, then dye one day when you have nothing specially planned for the day / days afterwards. So that you have time to correct the error if it goes wrong.
  • Be prepared with silver shampoo at home, it does the trick!
  • There are no guarantees when bleaching your hair at home. It can go wrong, and you have to be brave to test. Go to a hairdresser if you can afford it and do not be stingy.

When I had been doing this and dyeing at home for more than a year, I finally got several different shades on my hair, so to get rid of them I went to a hairdresser who had to curl my hair.

Today I go to the hairdresser twice a year only (Monica Werner on Color and The Shape in Uppsala) who do balayage instead of completely bleaching. So nice to avoid a sharp outgrowth.

My conclusion from bleaching / blonde hair at home:

I do not regret that I started bleaching / bleaching my hair at home, it did not get particularly worn because I took it easy (however, I had already worn hair before) and I have saved a lot of money on it. But as I said, in the end there were just as different shades on the hair so the result was not tip top even though it went well, so I'm glad that after high school I could afford to go to the hairdresser!

Silver shampoo / silver products for the hair:

I just have to tell you about a MAGICAL product! Milk_Shake Direct Color (adlink) in the shade Powder. It is actually a home toning but I mix it with conditioner and have as leave in cream in the hair after about every other wash.

It is also available in the shade Beige Blond which is a little more pink, but I prefer the shade Powder. Powder also has purple-pink in it, which is good, because if it gets too blue on yellow, it gets an ugly green tone.

Ugh how awful my hair color was here by the way! It was an intermediate period when I went from red to blonde and had not used silver products for a long time because I had still just set up constantly.

And Milk_Shake Whipped Cream Silver Shine (adlink) which is a silver mousse that you can either mix their Direct color with, or use as a leave in after the shower. It makes the hair very smooth too!

The silver shampoos I use the most are Löwengrip Silver Shampoo (adlink) and Hårologi Silver Shampoo, but Hårologi is probably not available to buy online, only at Hårologi hairdressers.

In today's situation, I enjoy being as blonde as I am, but I want to save the length and do not like this medium length I have on my hair now. Not short, not far. I enjoyed my short one I had before, but that hairstyle required that you cut yourself quite often and it became too expensive, so I prioritize coloring the growth regularly instead.

I often get comments that I fit so well in brown when I post old pictures, and sometimes Miska hints that I should be brunette again hehe. But I thrive in this fake blonde shade, as long as I avoid the growth as when you completely bleach, and you should always have what you feel best in! :)

Here is a very smoky but still quite light make-up. I smoked a little more outside the eye shape than I usually do, do not know how extreme it can be seen in the picture but it felt unusual! But still nice as attan :)

I have a lot of time pressure right now, the day is packed, so I do not write the product list now but if you have any questions about what I have used, write a comment and I will answer as soon as I can!

Paint eyeliner

It's a bit awkward for me to make videos and get good light, so unfortunately there will be no such video for a while.

But I can publish a photo tutorial I showed earlier in the blog which is very clear! I have also made it even clearer with text directly on the pictures :)

I think the best thing is to use a cake eyeliner (works much like a watercolor) and use a narrow eyeliner brush. My eyeliner comes from Kryolan and I use an Eyeliner brush from one of my makeup brush sets on iMys.se, but I think Make Up Store has good ones too!

The most important thing is to practice, practice, practice! Paint an eyeliner with a wing every time before you wash off the make-up just for the sake of training (though harder with mascara on) and you will see that you become more and more skilled. I was really bad at it before too!

Och har man mycket veck på sina ögonlock så får man anpassa linjerna efter dom istället för lutningen på undre fransraden, så att det inte blir ett veck som “bryter av” vingen.

Raspberry red lips

Raspberry red lips are so heavenly beautiful! Typical light red color that is actually light red and not pink.

Here is a tip on how to easily get that shade even if you do not have such a gloss / pin. It is also easy to vary if you want dark or light in this way!

What you need is a lip balm and a red lip pencil.

Start with the lip balm, I use Mavala Lip Balm.
Then apply the lip pencil on the entire lips, I use Yves Rocher Automatic Lip Liner in shade 31. Rouge.

Since you are based on a creamy product, the pen does not adhere as hard and the result is a lighter shade - in this case raspberry red!

Wish makeup - Date

Nervous girl here before a first date with a sickly handsome guy, wants some help with makeup! I am looking for a reasonably sexy / flirty make-up, which does not give the impression of having put in too much effort, but is still attractive. I have a newly purchased one green-glittery eyeliner I never used, but thought the color was so sickly good-looking so had to give in to the desire to have - would be fun if it could be combined into the make-up! Otherwise, I am more for a little muted colors, black-brown-dark purple, but am open for the most part that does not give an exaggerated look :) Have blue-gray eyes, light brown-red hair and a rather cold skin tone.

What fun with dating! Of course I want to help you with this :)

I love to mix a little psychology into my make-up, and a date make-up is perfect in that case! It also sounds in your description that you are a bit after a party make-up, so I guess you are going to dinner or similar.

If you sit opposite each other and talk, it is the eyes you want to focus on, I would therefore rather put a little more eye makeup and skip the lips completely. In addition, run on a simple outfit and an everyday hairstyle, an oblique braid perhaps if you have long hair. Then your eyes will shine (!) And you also do not have to think about lip makeup if you eat / drink / kiss;). Moisturize the lips with a little lip balm before just so that they look soft and nice.

Som du beskriver så vill du ha en sotad och intensiv makeup, och det är jättebra för de flesta killar gillar sotade ögon på tjejer (enligt min egen research). Intensiva ögon ger dessutom en lite flirtig och “sexig” känsla och det kommer vara svårt för killen att släppa din blick!

Jag rekommenderar också att ljusa upp ordentligt innerst på ögat och highlighta under ögonbrynet, då ser dina ögon större ut samtidigt som det gör att din sotning inte blir lika tung eller “för mycket”.

A shimmery light shadow in the corner of the eye also gives a happier and kinder impression.

Din glitteridé älskar jag! Om du applicerar glittereyelinern ytterst på övre fransraden så kommer det blinga diskret när du blinkar och dina ögon kommer bli mer intressanta att titta på. Ibland när jag sminkar så, så har jag fått kommentaren “jag kan inte sluta titta på dina ögon!” och det är precis så man vill ha det på första dejten :)

Var noga med ögonfransarna också, det är viktigt för att känna sig snygg och flirtig. Har du “dåliga” fransar så kan du köpa enstaka fransknippen och limma fast istället för en hel rad med lösögonfransar, det ger ett naturligare resultat!

I do not have this eyeliner myself, but I mixed in a little green false eye shadow in my gold glittery eyeliner from True Gold so it turned out similar!

I have used these colors from the palette from Boots no 7 that I wrote about in this post.

wish make-up date

1.  Light eye shadow deepest on the eyelid and up below the eyebrow.
2. Brown-green eye shadow in the middle of the eyelid.
3. Plum brown eye shadow at the end of the eyelid.
4. Black eye shadow at the end of the lower lash line and up at the end of the eyelid.
5. Blur the edges.
6. Black eyeliner along the upper lash line, Kryolan Cake Eyeliner.
Black eyeliner at the bottom of the waterline, Yves Rocher Eyeliner (01 Noir)
7. Light shimmery eye shadow in the corner of the eye and at the bottom of the lower lash line, Annika's Favorite Shadow.
8. Green glitter eyeliner (mine is greenish gold) over the black eyeliner on the upper lash line.
9. Black mascara on all lashes, nudh mineral Mascara.

This is a real party make-up if you match it to a dress and curly hair, but if you are a little more discreet on the front that I mentioned earlier, this make-up will be perfect for a date!

If you feel that it is still a little too dark, just soot a little less under the eye and skip the elongated shape and the make-up will immediately become more discreet.
