Sephora Upside Down Mascara

Yesterday I tested Sephora's new thinking Upside Down Mascara, which consists of two mascara brushes in one to be able to paint both on the top and bottom of the lashes at the same time!

Jag både älskar och hatar den här mascaran. Jag var skeptisk från början, då det känns som en typisk “wow-varför-har-ingen-tänkt-på-det-här-tidigare- produkt” som i praktiken inte fungerar riktigt till 100%.

I think it's a bit like that too, at the same time as it still went better than I expected!

How can you not smudge on the eyelid (?)  was my first thought, but it still went well, I got a small mascara stain on one eye only, and the formula in the mascara felt easy to work and comfortable.

If the end result was so much to cheer for, I do not know. After a few times, I think you get a better technique, it went better in the other eye then. So I'm pretty sure you can get a better result than what I got in these pictures, but I do not know, probably no super-mega-wow effect then it also feels like.

The lashes became a bit messy, which may be because I took photos at the same time and the mascara he dried a bit before I was done.

But it is very fun to use, and if I had the energy to practice a little with it, I would have done it! This is how you do it:

På bild nr.2 ser det ut som jag håller på att slita av fransarna haha, det var dock ingenting jag upplevde när jag applicerade. Jag har bara ett lock som har väldigt lätt för att “lyfta sig” hehe.

Front Cover är ett sminkmärke från London, vars koncept är “säsongssminkningar” som består av ett komplett kit med produkter för att skapa en hel look. Front Cover släpper nya limited edition-boxar varje höst och vår, och idag har jag testat den nya vårboxen!

Den röda tråden i denna box är skimmer och metalliska skuggor, då det även medföljer ett “shadow glow” – ett medel som får ögonskuggorna att bli mer glansiga och metalliska.

The shadows can be used without the remedy as well, but of course I had to try them out of sheer curiosity! :)

The shadows were really nice with the shadow glow agent, but a little difficult to work if you use shadow glow for all shadows. Next time I will probably keep some carpet, I think, to get nice shades and a little more contrast!

The trouble with today's make-up is that me and the mascara did not agree at all, nice lashes had made the whole look so much nicer! But I will review it in another post so you can see what I'm talking about! :)

1. Green eye shadow (with a little gold shimmer) on the entire eyelid.
2. Blur the edges.
3. Golden eye shadow along the lower lash line.
4. Light eye shadow In the corner of the eye.
5. Black eyeliner along the upper and lower lash line.
6. Black mascara on all lashes, Sephora Upside Down Mascara.

I'm not sure if the palette has hit the store yet, but it's sold on Sephora anyway!

Yves Rocher Botanical Care Mist

May comes YvesRocher.se launch a body mist that I can really recommend for the summer!

It contains organic aloe vera and chamomile water, which intensively moisturizes the skin and makes it smooth and soft.

What I like about this is that it smells so good, very natural and a little floral but in such a discreet and healthy way! I usually do not prefer floral scents otherwise, but as I said, this one is just fresh and delicious!

The mist enters the skin super fast immediately after spraying, and the skin feels smooth and soft afterwards.

Will cost SEK 89, and is normally suitable for dry skin.

Truly a product I will use a lot this summer! :)

The Body Shop Camomile Makeup remover

A good makeup remover is very important, partly to get rid of all the make-up (it is not good at all to sleep with make-up residue around the eyes) but also to not irritate the skin around the eyes which is so thin and sensitive.

On the one hand, the ingredients in make-up removers can irritate both eyes and skin, but it is also a problem if the product is not effective - Then you have to rub and stuff so much and it damages both skin and eyelashes, and there is also a greater risk of getting make-up and remover in the eyes if you have to work so much.

Now I have tested The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover, and I can really recommend it! It takes Quickly bort sminket, även mascaran, utan att man måste gnugga mycket alls. Bara att hålla bomullen mot ögat i några sekunder, och sedan “smeka bort” sminket försiktigt.

It is a little oily, which is probably the reason why it is so good against waterproof makeup as well, but it is moderately oily without leaving too much around the eyes afterwards!

Extra plus:
The remover contains Community Fair Trade-produced chamomile from the UK, which has a calming and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

Almond-shaped eyes - tutorial

Många vardagssminkningar följer ögats form, eftersom det ofta är det som blir naturligt och “vardagligt”.

But here is an everyday make-up that is a more elongated shape, if you want longer and more almond-shaped eyes!

Two of the eyeshadows come from this 40 palette that is no longer available for purchase. As well as the matte brown shade Yag Minerals Cacaco Brown.

1. Brown eye shadow at the bottom of the lower lash line and straight out in the same slope. Stay at the height of the globe line.
2. The same shadow in along the globe line.
3. Matte brown eye shadow at the end of the eyelid
4. Light pink eye shadow innermost on the eyelid, in the corner of the eye and innermost on the lower lash line.
5. Blur the edges.
6. Black eyeliner along the upper and lower lash line + wing, Yves Rocher Eyeliner (adlink)
7. Black mascara on all lashes, Oriflame The ONE Volume Blast Mascara - but it has been based on the range. Can instead warmly recommend Sensai 38 ° Volumising Mascara (adlink) which is great!
