Today, as I said, I have a bridal make-up in Älvsjö (+ 5 more make-ups) and this must be the most planned bride I have had as a customer - which inspired me to this post!
Den 4:e april fick jag ett mail av en tjej som ville boka in en brudsminkning hos mig i juni, två månader innan är en ganska vanlig tid för mig att få bokningar så jag reagerade inte först. Sedan läste jag datumet igen och fick en chock, detta var nämligen ett år sedan, alltså 2013, och när jag läste “2014” så kändes det som en evighet till dess, haha!
So she booked me a year and two months before the wedding, and now that day is here !! :)
I'm more used to stressed brides, so this will be a nice makeup job! I who once had to help a bride to paste table placement cards while she finished the bridal set haha, she was really at the last second with everything and had to answer the phone type all the time when everyone else seemed to have chaos as well.
And that's where I want to go with this post, start planning in time! If you are stressed in the weeks before the wedding, it will be visible on your skin. Dry skin, bags under the eyes, no glow, stress pimples and eczema are common skin problems that can be caused by stress, and if you are prone to getting herpes cold sores, you can assume that they will come now!
But if you start planning in time, you will avoid stress symptoms and can in the months before focus on being as good-looking as possible. Here is a little mini-beauty guide with tips on what to think about before the wedding!
Facial
If you want to do a facial, it should be done a few months before the wedding, and not too close! The skin may become unbalanced after a facial before it becomes normal / better than before.
Improve-during-the-day makeup
Även om du har en makeup artist som gör ditt smink, så behöver du ändå produkter att bättra på med under dagen. Ett transparent puder och läppglans/stift är det jag skulle se som ett “måste”.
Away with old skin cells
About 1-2 weeks before the wedding, you should clean your face thoroughly, you get such a nice natural glow if all the dead skin cells are gone. Bring water to a boil, then hold your face over the water vapor so that the pores open and clean. Then exfoliate the skin with a mild exfoliation (not too active, you do not want to get the skin unbalanced) and finish with a moisturizing face mask.
This should also be done the day before the wedding.
Beauty sleep
Beauty sleep is very important, but it can be difficult to fall asleep when you are nervous. In other words, the day before you should not treat yourself to a long morning sleep because then it will be even harder to fall asleep in the evening, it is better to be able to sleep the night before the wedding!
Home spa
The day before the wedding, you can have a home spa moment (if you have not indulged in a real spa, that is). Turn on calm music, redo the facial cleanser with the steam, take a bath / long shower, scrub the skin, scrub the feet, straighten legs and armpits, have a hair wrap and face mask, lubricate your whole body with a wonderful lotion, and above all - have a manicure session then you fix both nails, cuticles and possibly nail polish!
The morning of the wedding day
When you have woken up from your beauty sleep on the day with a big D, you should just eat a good and luxurious breakfast, do your morning routines as usual, do not stress so that you do not have time to brush your teeth or forget to bring something important. Do not lubricate yourself with sun protection factor, it can make your skin look gray in the picture. Then let the professionals take care of you in the hairdresser / make-up chair - now you just have to relax and enjoy!
